Palomar Mountain Postcards Peter Brueggeman, September 2020

Following are selected postcards featuring Palomar Mountain, along with any interesting card inscriptions. Postcards are very numerous for the Observatory and the Highway to the Stars (Highway S6), so those two aspects are less represented in this compilation.

DOANE VALLEY

George Doane’s Cabins, postcard stamped July 19, 1912 “Just a card this morning. Suppose that we will see you soon. Hope so any way. I’m just now going for a horse back ride.”

Doane Valley “I wish you were here with us and could have taken the ride we did today. It was just fine. It is delightful here now and quite a few improvements since 1908.”
