Implementation story • Twice a month district leadership meetings with
other principals • Team members were pushing to get scheduled
time • Some time for Allyson and Nancy who are the
coaches • Allyson (Head of Science) the data queen, Nancy
(Conflict Resolution) a good schmooser
PBIS Meeting • Witch tickets and witch sticks reward good
behaviour • You can win a breakfast at the black cat or an ipad
mini • Classroom disruption a major issue but hard to
identify • Class competition for points with the prize a
ropes course
Data and Motivation
• Pep Rally a big thing
• SET results based on 15 students and 15 teachers
• 80% of staff had taught expectations
• Witch sticks go to those being responsible – a delicious irony I particularly enjoyed
• The stage is haunted too!
Wrap up
• Plan for sustainability from the start
• Create a resource pie of what team members spend their time doing
• Allyson was doing everything so this was a method to assist redistribution of tasks
