How to Apply• Applications for a pre-registration training place starting in 2017 will
open at 9am on Monday 25 January 2016 and close on Friday 12 February 2016 at 4.30pm
• You need to apply via www.boots.jobs – the link to apply will be located on the pre-registration training 2017 page
• If you are a current Boots employee you will be asked to upload a CV at application – this can be a blank document as we do not require it for this application
• After submitting your application you will receive a confirmation email of your application – keep checking your email!

Location, Location, Location• You will be asked to choose three location preferences
– Think carefully about the choices you make – there are more opportunities available in certain locations around the UK
• It is important to be both realistic and flexible in the choices you make– Please put your location choices in order of preference – you
will always be considered against your choices in that order– The third location choice will be in one of our priority
locations where there are more opportunities available. If you are flexible please select an ‘Anywhere in…’ option
• Please note that if you are on a Tier 2 visa you will only be able to apply for a pre-registration training place in Scotland

Applying for Training in Scotland?• A successful interview will enable us to place you on our preferred list
for NHS Education for Scotland (NES)
• This is essential if you hope to secure a place on the Boots Pre-registration Pharmacist Programme in Scotland in 2017
• You must ensure that you have applied for a pre-registration training place through the NES scheme in Spring 2016
• Make sure you list Boots UK as your employer of choice in order to maximise your chances of being matched
• Remember: If you are on a Tier 2 visa you can only secure a pre-registration training place with Boots in Scotland
• Please be aware that in England and Wales a similar matching process is being explored by Health Education England (HEE) and Modernising Pharmacy Careers in Wales teams. For further details as these become available please ask at your university or visit the BPSA website

The Selection Process• You will be sent an email to invite you to complete the online
assessment tool within 24 hours of submitting your application– If you don’t complete this your application will be incomplete and
you will not be considered for a pre-registration training position in 2017
• If your application is successful you will be invited to an interview in February 2016. We have a selection of interview dates available between February and April 2016 so you are able to choose which one works best for you
• You must bring your proof of Right to Work in the UK – if this is not provided we won’t be able to offer you a position, so get those passports and documents ready now!

OffersNorthern Ireland -• If you have chosen to complete your pre-registration training in a
Northern Ireland location you will need to travel to Northern Ireland to complete the interview
• If you are successful at interview you will receive your offer in March 2016
England and Wales –• Your interview will take place in a store close to your university• You will receive your offers before the end of May 2016
Scotland –• Your interview will take place in a store close to your university• You will receive an email informing you that you have been placed on
our NES preferred list. Your offers will be sent after the NES selection process has been completed in August 2016

What Happens Now?• Visit www.boots.jobs/careers/pre-registration from the 21st
December where you can find the latest information
• Remember applications open on 25th January 2016 and will close on 12th February 2016
• Apply via www.boots.jobs• Look out for the email to complete your online assessment as soon
as you can
• Be as flexible as you can with your location choices – remember, by choosing the same locations for all three preferences you will reduce your chances of securing a pre-registration training place
