Role of the PHARMACY TECHNICIAN:

The role of the pharmacy technician is to assist the pharmacist in any area that does not require professional judgment.

Some Duties of a Pharmacy Technician include, but not limited to:

• Verify prescription information.

• Prepare medication per pharmacist’s request.

• Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure and mix medications.

• Select containers and prepare labels.

• Prepare insurance claim forms.

• Establish and maintain patient records.
