PMC-54300ADEQuad Stepper &Machine Controller

The PMC-54300 is a quad (4) axes motion and machinecontrol card, based on a plug-&-play PCI Bus. Accompaniedby its free easy to use powerful software the card can easilybe incorporated into any machine control task with no needfor any user skills.

The PMC-54300 consists of a dedicated motor control chipthat provides control over 4 motors simultaneously and upto 16 (4 at a time), with Series-5000 stepper drivers. Allmotor command and motion feedback lines are opticallyisolated, assuring reliable performance in extremely harshworking environments.

Analog I/O LinesThe PMC-54300 is equipped with 4 current inputs and 4voltage inputs as well as 4 analog output lines. These analogI/O lines are of 8 bit resolution, providing a complete machinecontrol solution.

Encoder/Counter InputThe on-board encoder/counter inputs provide reliableposition feedback and may be used as a user definablecounter. This ensures precision and enables auto-positioningcorrections.

Digital I/O LinesThe PMC-54300 is equipped with 48 discrete I/O lines forgeneral use. These lines can easily operate 24 relays anda standard opto-isolated input board, to control an intelligentmachine or it can be used at TTL level with an output of upto 24mA per channel. Additional 8 Opto-Isolated I/O linesare available when operating up to 4 motor axes system.

Software SupportA high level of flexibility provided by the controller’s freesoftware package, makes system integration a brief task.

The software provides ability to execute user defined scripts,execute high-performance motion control tasks such aslinear and circular interpolation control all I/O and muchmore.

The sof tware package inc ludes cont ro l le r dr ivers ,Win9x/NT/2000/XP DLLs, Complete Machine ControlApplication with Graphical Scripting capabilities, CNC Controlsoftware, HPGL conversion, Labview drivers and more. Thisensures a significantly short ‘product to market’ time forsystem developers, as well as simple and immediateoperation by the end-user, sparing the need for any additionalsoftware development.

The software provides support for GCODE machine languagewhich is compatible with most Fanuc G and M codes.In addition the HPGL converter enables you to draw complexoutlines and filling using your favorite CAD software andthen convert it into a 2D motion script without writing anycode.

Labview drivers allows users who are familiar with thisprogramming environment to access and control a machineusing the dedicated virtual instruments.
