The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Uma lagarta muito esfomeada.

In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf.

De noite ao luar havia um pequeno ovo numa folha.

One Sunday morning the warm sun came up and pop! Out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar.

Numa bela manhã de domingo o sol apareceu brilhante e quente! Saiu do ovo uma pequenina lagarta muito esfomeada.

He started to look for some food.

E logo se pôs a caminho em busca de comida.

I’m hungry!

Eu tenho fome!

On Monday he ate through one apple. But he was still hungry.Na segunda feira comeu uma maçã . Mas ainda estava com fome.

I’m still hungry!

Eu ainda tenho fome!

On Tuesday he ate through two pears, but he was still hungry.Na terça feira comeu duas peras, mas ainda estava com fome.

I’m still hungry!

Eu ainda tenho fome!

On Wednesday he ate through three plums, but he was still hungry.Na quarta feira comeu três ameixas, mas ainda estava com fome.

I’m still hungry!

Eu ainda tenho fome!

On Thursday he ate through four strawberries, but he was still hungry.Na quinta feira comeu quatro morangos, mas ainda estava com fome.

I’m still hungry!

Eu ainda tenho fome!

On Friday he ate through five oranges, but he was still hungry.No sábado comeu cinco laranjas, mas ainda estva com fome. I’m still hungry!

Eu ainda tenho fome!

On Saturday he ate through…..No sábado ainda comeu...

That night he had stomach-ache!

Esta noite teve dores de estômago!

I’m ill!

The next day was Sunday again. The caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf, and after that he felt much better.No dia seguinte era domingo. A lagarta comeu uma linda folha verde, e depois sentiu-se muito melhor.

Now he wasn’t hungry anymore- and he wasn’t a little caterpillar any more.Agora deixara de ter fome- e deixara de ser uma pequena lagarta.

He was a big, fat caterpillar.

Era uma lagarta grande e gorda.

He built a small house, called a cocoon, around himself. He stayed inside for more than two weeks.Construiu uma pequena casa , chamada casulo, a sua volta. Permaneceu lá dentro mais de duas semanas.

Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out ………

Então, abriu um buraco no casulo, fez força ate conseguir sair...

He was a beautiful butterfly!Era uma linda borboleta!
