Situation Assessment

Nomination of TB Team will be discussed during the management meeting.

Members and Functions of the TB Team will be discussed and be made official during their respective meeting.

Date when TB Team will have a Hospital Order – First week of July, before the training.

What unit/departments will be included in the internal referral system.OPD, Wards, Laboratory, Radiology

Dept. Who will lead the development of the

TB Team, other resource persons [RHO, PHO NTP coordinators] anytime July 27 – August 24, 2015

DOTS Directory – there is an existing one but needs to be updated by RHO/PHO

Coordination with RHU Role of the PHO : link between RHU

& Private Hospitals Role of the RHU: accommodate

referrals/ continuation of TB treatment

Role of the hospital: proper referrals and assure acceptance of TB patients to referred unit

External Referral System

What will be provided by the Region, the province or the city Anti-TB drugs (FDC), Reagents,

Sputum Cup, Slides, Mask, Gloves, Xray-Films, NTP reporting/recording forms etc.

How will logistics be provided? The city will provide buffer of Anti-TB drugs (Intensive Phase only) to hospitals and PPD
