Message level retention • Based on Sent / Received time • Easy to meet typical ILM business requirements • For example, all messages older than 3 years must be

destroyed Easy to manage retention • Job based pruning works well but requires more planning and

management up front End user delete (coming later in 10) • Message level pruning enables mechanism for end user

enforced archive deletion • End users destroying data in the archive in advance of defined

pruning schedules

SIMPANA 10 MAILBOX STUBS AND STUB RECALL

Remove Exchange server from recall path

• Stub recall no longer writes to user mailbox, cache or otherwise

• Stub recall no longer requires connection to Exchange CAS

• Support for both Addin and Recall Link technologies

• When message body is not left in stub, Preview button enables view

• User can always download entire message

Recall attachment only
