• Physical – Sweating, rapid heartbeat, shaking, dry mouth, shortness of breath, increased blood pressure

• Cognitive – Negative thoughts, thought blockage, disorganized thoughts

• Behavioral – Avoidance of or escaping from the feared situation

Methods that address symptoms of anxiety

• Physical Level – Deep relaxation techniques, medication, diet, exercise

• Behavioral Level – Visualization, Desensitization, Practice

• Cognitive Level – Cognitive therapy
