PZ RING-LOCK HEAVY DUTY SUPPORT SYSTEM
For applications when exceptionally heavy loads occur, PZ has developed probably the most robust strength-to-weight slab support system available.
Incorporating all the benefits of the PZ Ring-Lock connecting system and using standard components, PZ’s Ring-Lock Heavy Duty System also utilises specially designed 4-way connectors. Top connectors (used with the heads), base connectors (used with the adjustable jacks), and twin wedges (used at intermediate distances) secure four standards together. The extra heavy duty base jacks and heads are specially manufactured for this system.
Each 4-standard configuration is fully braced, and is independently adjustable, with no decrease in allowable safe load. Components are designed to be easily stored, shipped, erected and dismantled, requiring no special transportation methods.

PZ Alu-Deck is a versatile and easily handled system of decking formwork that delivers positive advantages at every stage of a project. Alu-Deck is strong, with very high loadbearing characteris-tics, and due to its ultra-precise manufacture, contractors get the dual benefits of high quality concrete finishes and minimal time constraints in terms of assembly time.
Lightweight panels in practical sizes help make the entire process of slab production straightforward and efficient. This is highlighted by speed of assembly, exact alignment and rapid disassembly. Furthermore, Alu-Deck has the flexibility to ensure complete coverage of complex surface areas through the use of standard panels and extension connectors.
Tough and built to last, Alu-Deck promises long life for an excellent return on investment.
Any expanse can be created when used in conjunction with any of the PZ support systems.
Alu-Deck’s light weight makes panels easy to manipulate and precisely align.
A HIGHLY EFFICIENT SLAB FORMWORK SYSTEMPZ Alu-Deck panelsThe high loadbearing panels of the Alu-Deck system are precisely made to exacting standards, using the most resilient materials – Alloy 6063 T6 and lightweight 12mm FF birch plywood. This ensures superb concrete finishes time after time. Panels are available in a range of standard sizes, or they can be custom made to order for specific applications.
Simple concept — exceptional outcomesThe clever design and precise manufacturing process of PZ Alu-Deck panels — which feature a wedge profile for reduced friction — ensure super-fast, safe assembly and striking. PZ Handset panels are available in a range of sizes for maximum versatility.
PZ Handset is an ideal, often cost-effective solution for pour-in-place concrete slab construction in locations where flying tables are not practical or not permitted, and on sites where contractors use hand-set panels for other formwork requirements. Although heavier than PZ Alu-Deck, handset panels are close-fitting, durable, easily manoeuvred, and require minimal time for clean-up between uses.
The system includes a comprehensive range of panels and compo-nents for maximum flexibility, and can be used with support systems such as H-Frame, Cup-Lock, Ring-Lock or Steel Props – in fact almost any propping and beam system that is in use on site can be used, adding to the versatility.
Handset panels use phenol film faced plywood to produce a smooth or textured, almost seam-free surface. In locations where the slab surface is left exposed without further decorative or protective finish being applied, minimal hand finishing is required. The plywood can be used again and again, giving a long working life.
When used with drop heads, PZ Handset offers fast and efficient cycling of panels: after a concrete pour, when the cure is sufficient (about 2-3 days), the drop head releases the primary and secondary beams and panels supporting the slab, ready for moving to the next pour location. The drop head remains to support the slab/deck until the cure is complete.

PZ SHORING & SLAB SYSTEMS
A TRADITIONAL SOLUTION FOR SLAB CONSTRUCTION
PZ SAWN TIMBER BEAM SYSTEM
Precision engineered timber beams are at the centre of this ever-popular slab construction method that, when used with any of PZ’s shoring systems and plywood panels, will provide an economical and versatile solution for low labour cost environ-ments. Timber beams can be used as both primary and second-ary beams.
• A wide range of beams offer flexibility and versatility.• Prop heads and clamps are available to accommodate various beam sizes.• Provides a very economical solution in terms of labour costs.• Easy to handle (though not always viable to reuse due to high degradation).

Beam wedge clamps are available in 30cm and 40cm widths.
A PROVEN AND HIGHLY RELIABLE SOLUTION
PZ BEAM SYSTEM
PZ’s beam wedge clamps provide a simple, yet efficient way to form reinforced concrete beams in situ. Clamps are attached to an adjustable prop support, and are set at appropriate intervals according to the beam height, length and weight.

PZ SHORING & SLAB SYSTEMS
Used with plywood shuttering, Lateral Support Brackets are a practical solution for shuttering the un-butted edges of a concrete slab or forming the sides of a size-specific beam within a slab (both slab and beam can be poured simultaneously). They can also be used to form the outer edges of a foundation slab.

Deck and beam forms are shuttered at the same time.
PZ LATERAL SUPPORT BRACKETS
Lateral Support Brackets are an invaluable aid to slab construction where extra strength is specified.
Available as standard brackets or heavy-duty brackets (depending of the slab thickness) they are fixed to sawn timber beams or H-Beams at the appropriate spacing. They are very easy to strike when the concrete has set.

THE ALTERNATIVE DECK FORMWORK SOLUTION
PZ WAFFLE AND TROUGH MOULDS
PZ polypropylene waffle and trough moulds are lightweight and hardwearing, allowing easy in-situ positioning and continuous repetitive use — as long as they are handled with care, they can be used over 100 times.
Major benefits include: • Trough moulds provide a one-way span• Waffle moulds provide a two-way span• Two way spanning ribbed slabs can achieve longer spans than traditional flat slabs• The concept allows for reduced concrete volumes• There is a potential for reduction in slab thickness and weight• Designers are able to devise an attractive finish based on mould configurations
The moulds require no nails or screws for fixing, as they are laid directly on a grid of H20 H-Beams supported on one of PZ’s standard support scaffold systems. No sub-surface such as plywood or wood is required.
3.39 | www.pzgroup.com.cy
PZ SHORING & SLAB SYSTEMS
Two-way in-situ spanning offers greater flexibility for interior planning and design, providing an attractive soffit finish which can be left exposed or painted. All moulds are light in weight and easy to handle. Compared with solid slab and beam floors, savings in steel and concrete can be as great as 60%.
Polypropylene trough moulds are ideal for one-way spanning floors, providing a good industrial finish.
