In this current work the ride and handling performanceof an automobile with passive suspension system issimulated and analyzed. The suspension system model considered here as a two
degree of freedom quarter car model. The suspension system designed here is totally designedand analyzed separately using Math Works productsnamely MATLAB, Simulink and Simscape and tries to
draw conclusion on which of these Math Worksproducts provides better results and which product iseasy to work with, in relation lumped parameter modelsin this case suspension system.

Why suspension system???
The purpose of the suspension system inautomobiles is to improve ride comfort and roadhandling. This system is used for safety and comfort driving. The vehicle occupants will be isolated from roadnoise, bumps and vibrations etc.The important mechanism of suspension is to keep
the road wheel in contact with the road surfaceThis system also increases the friction and stabilitybetween tires and the road surface.

Principle of Suspension System:-To prevent road vibrations which being transmitted tothe various components of the vehicle. To safeguard and protect the passengers from roadshocks
To maintain proper stability of the vehicle duringpitching and rolling, while the vehicle is in motion.

USES:-
The MATLAB high-performance language for technicalcomputing integrates computation, visualization, andprogramming in an easy-to-use environment whereproblems and solutions are expressed in familiarmathematical notation. Its very economical to use MATLAB for simulating theresults before going directly into the development of theproduct
