What services do you provide?

FESTO Testbed

•  federate and mashup different learning services •  learning services/technologies

–  Widget store from which the learners can individually select widgets –  Personal start page and course start page –  Recommendation functionality

•  Learners receive recommendations based on individual learner profile or job-role •  Learners can recommend contents to other learners

–  Integration of internal and external information resources •  Wikipedia, youtube, dictionaries •  Internal Festo resources •  Advanced search engine

–  Community functionalities •  “learning neighbours” - who has similar learning interests? •  Social bookmarking •  Commenting functionalities

What is your timeline?

•  Until end of October: focus on functional requirements and specifications

•  Data collection: November 1 •  First mashup prototype by December 15

–  Core functionality in a quick prototype –  For early user feedback

•  End of February –  Second iteration –  As a basis for gathering detailed user feedback
