• Provides mental health care services locally (Bolton, Trafford, Prestwich)

• Prestwich site offers a Specialist Services Network for inpatients

• Services offered include: secure settings, drug and alcohol recovery, young people with mental health problems and for those who are deaf and experiencing mental health

• Volunteers into the service

• Service Users (inpatients) going out into the community for volunteer placements as part of their recovery

• How do you work with volunteers?• Volunteers are supported and supervised• Induction• Volunteers receive training as appropriate to

support them in their roles• Provide a valuable and meaningful

experience for volunteers• Expenses• Value volunteers

• Do any of the organisations service users go out on voluntary placements?

Academy/Vocational work

• Work closely• Fully support the organisation to provide

opportunities• Provide a summary of their current and past

risk assessments and written formulation• Thoroughly prepare each service user• Match the service users to available

opportunities

• We will support the service users to meet with you initially

• Provide monthly supervisions• Regular supervision and support• Introduction to the organisation • Organisations policies• Training to support them in their role• Expenses• Written agreement
