Parish Mission:
As a community of faith, we the people of Saint Lawrence Parish are involved in an ongoing process of
conversion. We strive to seek out and attend to the spiritual and physical needs of our membership and our
neighbors in need according to the charisms and standards of Jesus Christ our Savior. We seek to develop
responsible attitudes towards stewardship, appreciating what God has given us to benefit others and ourselves. We
see our stewardship as integral in the improvement of our spiritual well being by personal prayer, sacramental
celebration and communal worship. We commit ourselves to establish a mutual covenant to recognize the dignity,
the blessing of talent and common responsibility of all our members, our visitors and neighbors of various
SAINT LAWRENCE PARISH, GOFFSTOWN, NH
Perpetual Adoration Jesus is truly present with us today. He comes quietly and humbly. Only the humble can see, with the eyes of faith, the humble Jesus hidden in the Blessed Sacrament. This is the faith that prompts you to come and adore Him. If He was visible and we could see Him with our senses, everyone would run to the Chapel, night and day, to be with Him. But He remains hidden in the Blessed Sacrament because he is calling us to faith, that we come to Him in humility. “Blessed are they who do not see and yet believe”
Adoration -Friday in the Chapel 3 - 6 pm

St. Lawrence Parish Library
Please visit the downstairs Parish Library to see our current book and
CD offerings. The middle shelves house our collection of items that
can be borrowed. They are color-coded by
suggested age. We have wonderful
storybooks for children, books about the
heroes of our faith for teens, and many
books for adults to help you on your faith
journey. Please use the SIGN-OUT SLIPS
for tracking and visit often!
Faith Formation Registration
for 2018-19 is now open! including Confirmation Registration for
Grades 9 and 10 Registration packets are located under the Faith Formation
Bulletin Board (left entry of church, near upstairs restrooms)
and online at www.stlawrencegoffstown.org. The packets
include faith formation information for grades 1-8 as well as
Confirmation prep information for grades 9-10 (same packet
and same registration form used for all grades this year).
SPECIAL ATTENTION to Parents of Incoming
First Grade Students:
It is suggested that you enroll your child in a faith formation
program for this fall as children are expected to be in their
second year of religious education prior to beginning
preparation for the sacraments, so it is encouraged to enroll
children beginning in the first grade.
The Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl
Campaign The CRS Rice Bowls have been counted! St. Lawrence
parishioners donated 46 Rice Bowls totaling $1,315.85!
75% of our donations go toward the worldwide programs of
Catholic Relief Services including water and sanitation
projects, microfinance projects to support small business, and
mother and child health projects. 25% of the donations go
toward fighting hunger and poverty here
in New Hampshire.
Thank you for your generosity!
Children’s Liturgy Summer Break:
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is on break for the summer and
will resume in the fall. Thank you so much to our wonderful
Children’s Liturgy volunteers who help to bring the Gospel to
life for our children every week.
Please contact Maggie Tipping if you have any questions or
would like to volunteer for this ministry in the fall.

I’m inviting you to consider blessing our parish family. When our loved ones journey home to the Lord, would you please consider requesting donations to the “Saint Lawrence Doors/Windows Fund” as well as “Handicapped Bathroom & Lift Fund” in lieu of flowers. Additionally, donations from anyone at anytime are greatly appreciated to help address our needs; funds earmarked for ‘any purpose’ allow us greater flexibility with our planning needs for Growth and Development.
Blessings and Thank You! *Father Gerry*

Celebrating the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity (5/27/18)
(Excerpt from “Celebrating Trinity Sunday at Home” by
Jennifer Gregory Miller at www.catholicculture.org) Bringing It Home:Although the Trinity is invoked every day of the year in the Liturgy, this feast can be an opportunity to praise the Holy Trinity and discuss the mystery of faith further within the family. This is another feast that we can recall our baptism, since in the name of the Trinity we become children of God and members of the Church. Here are some little ways to bring the Trinity home this week: Prayer: Remembering the Sign of the Cross and the Glory Be are two of the first prayers we learn that give glory and mention to the Blessed Trinity. These could be the prayers to recite together before dinner. Symbols at Mealtime: Remembering the various symbols of the Trinity, such as the circle, the equilateral triangle, trefoil, triquetra, and fleur-de-lys can be used as visual reminders, including in the meals.Different recipes or food can be the inspiration for family discussion about the Trinity: tri-color pasta, Neapolitan ice cream, tri-tip roast, cloverleaf rolls, tres leches cake, triple chocolate anything, including cake or brownies, three cheese macaroni and cheese, triple scoop ice cream, triple scoop brownie sundae with triangle-shaped brownies. Celebrating the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity is a way to
ease a bit into Ordinary Time after a season of being
"overcome with paschal joy." Because we are so familiar
with the prayers and referral to the three persons of the
Trinity, this feast is a reminder to take time to dwell on the
mystery of the Trinity.
