SandTec® Engineered Silica Dust Control Solution for
Improved Air Quality & Process Efficiency in Hydraulic Fracturing Operations
Silica DuSt control
Oil and gas companies face continuing social and regulatory concerns about the impact of hydraulic fracturing operations on air quality, especially from silica dust generated during the shipping and transfer of frac sand.
While conventional mechanical dust abatement systems provide some dust control, the setup and breakdown of such systems and the inefficiencies of using them at all transfer points not only limits their effectiveness, but also slows fracturing operations and hence production.
With current regulatory requirements that mandate compliance with low permissible exposure limits (PELs) for silica dust, a better, more effective solution for silica dust control is needed.
