Energy Usage Data System (EUDS)

Created in partnership with Calico Energy, which provides trusted energy data solutions for utilities and commercial building owners

This tool retrieves aggregate energy usage data for multi-tenant commercial, residential (4 or more), and industrial buildings

A portfolio of buildings may be entered:• Beneficial for large commercial real

estate or residential management companies

ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager (ESPM) 6

ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager is an online tool created by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) for measuring and tracking of energy and water consumption• Compare your building’s consumption to similar buildings in the U.S.

Any type of building can be benchmarked, but some buildings can generate a 1- 100 ENERGY STAR score• Buildings with a score above 75 are eligible for an ENERGY STAR

certification

Ordinance requires tracking, verification, and reporting of whole-building energy consumption via ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager• Covered buildings 50,000 sq. ft. or above must comply• Yearly compliance deadline of June 1st • Energy data must be verified every 3 years by a licensed professional Chicago Energy Rating System Placard – New for 2019• Benchmarking results must be posted on buildings

Requesting Access (must be building owner or property manager):• Request through your Account Manager if you are a managed account• Fill out the enrollment form and send to EnergyUsageData@ComEd.com

Login:• Once you are given login credentials (via e-mail), log into the system at:

Add a New Building:• To create a new building, click on the Add New Building icon ( )on the

Dashboard or click Building Summary link• Fill out required information

Create New Request icon ( ) on the Dashboard or click Request Summary link

- Choose starting date and ending date (minimum of 30 days between end date and day of request)

- Choose recurring or not - Request for monthly, quarterly,

or yearly - Check auto confirm box

You may submit individual energy data usage requests or create automatic, recurring energy data usage submittals• To set up recurring energy data requests to automatically push to ESPM,

create a new request and ensure the ‘Recurring,’ ‘Auto Confirm,’ and ‘Auto Submission’ boxes are checked
