There are many different types of mobile devices with different features, and today we living in the world of smart phones . Smart phones are used for many different things like instant messaging, business and being updated at all times . Smart phones has both the negative and positive effects and has become part of the daily life. I disagree that smart phones are affecting productivity, communication in workplace , social and education.
• smart phones are not affecting productivity ,communication in workplace, education and social engagement.
• Smart phones have become a common tool in modern communication and has caused a change in personal and professional communication,
• In workplaces there has been a creation of demand on workers at all levels to increase productivity by means of multi-tasking Farrel,Hamm,Mandel and Matlock(2005:3).
• The need of being reachable to peers, superiors, clients and family has led to constant use of mobile devices almost in all work environment. people no longer interact face to face instead they socialize through mobile devices as they are more focused on work.
• Smart phones has change how businesses operate, there is faster moving negotiations, globally and internationally.

Research questionWhat is required to facilitate management of personal content on a mobile device with limited interactioncapabilities? How do adult educators use a Smartphone in creating a teaching episode within an authentic learningenvironment?
Researchers: Antti Aaltonen, Anthony Herrington
Aims:•The aim was to expand mobile phone usage beyond communication purposes by Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) in the late 1990’s. WAP is a standard for wireless access to the Internet and its services via mobile phones.
•The aim of research was to evaluate pedagogical strategies for the use of the Palm Treo 680smart phone (combined mobile phone and personal digital assistant) as a cognitive tool.
conclusion• Smart phones have become more demanded
mobiles. They perform remarkable things such as e-mailing, some are used as trackers in households for security.
• Students exchange school information and help each other with assignments without meeting face to face via their smart phones. Therefore smart phones are not affecting communication in work place, socal engagement and school.
