Description: Then the New England colonies HAD to go to church if they didn’t they were punished, now it is choice. Then people farmed for a living, now people can be a hospital worker and people can also try to start there own jobs. Then people had to make their tools, now people buy stuff like toys.

Description: The New England Colonies live close together . They were also very strict about their realign and went to church together every Sunday . If you missed church or fell asleep you would be punish. Only white men who owned land could vote. Women were not aloud to vote at all. Women did house work and men did outdoor work. The children didn’t do to school long because they had to do work. They were called Puritans because they wanted to do things to their church to make it more “pure."

Description:He disagreed with Puritan leaders about how people shouldn`t be punished for having different beliefs. He also disagreed with Puritan leaders about how they treated Native Americans. Anne Hutchinson also believed that and she made some people work against there own government. She and Roger Williams got banned from Massachusetts and they both started the colony that is now Rhode Island.

Description: John Winthrop was a leader who led a second group of puritans to settle the Massachusetts bay colony. He also was elected governor of the Massachusetts bay colony. As governor people who dissented him were punished harshly. He was strict with his control.

Description:Up north in the New England colony it is cold. The winters are harsh and hard to handle . The soil is rocky and thick so it is hard to plant crops. Since the New England colony is up north they have a lot of forests, so they have a lot of lumber which is used for shipbuilding

Description:The New England economy was pretty good. There industries were mostly shipbuilding industries mainly because they had a lot of lumber. They didn’t grow crops Farmers struggled because they had poor rocky soil and long cold harsh winters. because they could not grow crops so they began raising dairy cow and ships. They were also known for logging, whaling, and fishing. Fishers made a living from catching and hunting fish such as cod, herring, and mackerel. Trading or Bartering became the center of New England's economy. They had something called a triangular trade route. These routes connected England, the English colonies and Africa. It was a route where people exported and consumed imports.
