Profile widget: one person’s tweets

• First, put your cursor inside the box of scary code. Click once. The code will get highlighted.

• Next go to: Edit > Copy• Open up your webpage editor and locate the

code view. • Paste.• Preview.• Tweak.

Search widget: get other people’s tweets on a topic

Faves widget: only the tweets you explicitly choose

• Login to your twitter account• Favorite some tweets• Only those tweets will show up in your widget

List widget: all the tweets from people you choose

• Build a list in your twitter account

Use the list in your widget:

#hashtags:search terms that allow you to group similar tweets

#hashtags are useful for:

• Controlling the tweets on a list • Live-tweeting an event• Finding new people to follow who share your

interests• Attracting followers and planning world

domination

#hashtags are also useful for

• Hosting a long-distance chat with collaborators. Twitter will automatically keep a record of the chat and you can host the whole thing on your homepage

• #cesscomm, anyone?

Using flickr with UVM websites:

• Create and embed a slideshow of your photosFirst, create a Set on flickr
