Reading and Spelling Rockets – Bump It Up Wall

Below you will find the rockets for the Bump It Up Wall. Print the cards in the colours suggested. These cards should match the colour of the sight word sheets you send home with students. Included is the top and bottom of the rocket as well as astronauts which are used to move students along. Once you have printed the cards, display them on the wall like a rocket. I usually make sure I put the cards in the same order they are printed on the student sight word sheets. If a student gets a word incorrect in their writing I quickly look at the wall to see if they have passed that level. If a student has passed that level, I get them to write it on the whiteboard 5 – 10 times as they should already know how to spell it correctly.
