• St. Athanasius placed him as the head of the Catechetical School of Alexandria in 346AD

• He was also a good friend of the great St. Anthony, the father of the monks.

• St. Didymus wrote 48 books: 20 books on the theology and 28 commentaries on the Old Testament and the New Testament

• He departed in peace in the year 398AD
