Fourth Easter Sunday
Alleluia! Happy Easter! Jesus Christ is the light to the
nations. His light shines brightly in his resurrection.
One of the reasons the Easter Season is 50 days is
because there is so much to learn about after the resur-
rection. We have been looking at the evidence of the
resurrection during this season as it pertains to our
profession of faith in the light of Lumen Gentium.
Another piece of evidence is the response of the
Church in the first century.
If you have been following along with the first reading
this Easter during the Sunday masses you will notice
how they come from the book called Acts of the
Apostles. This book chronicles the movement of the
early Christian community after the Resurrection. It
begins with the Ascension of Jesus and ends with the
message of the Resurrection being brought to Rome
through the ministry of St. Paul. This book tells us of
how the disciples courageously announced the truth of
Jesus’ Resurrection from the dead. This resulted in
huge conversions and baptisms in the Church.
I highly recommend that you read Acts of the Apostles
and enjoy the excitement that the Resurrection caused
in the first believers. Maybe it will even give you
more strength to follow the command of Jesus to “go
and make disciples” by announcing the good news of
the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Happy Easter! Alleluia!
FR. JEFF
Cuarto Domingo de Pascua
¡Aleluya! ¡Felices Pascuas!
Felices Pascuas! ¡Aleluya!
Padre Jeff
