Materials Needed For Testing

• Student Answer Sheets WILL NOT be Preprinted with Student ID information.

• Student info must be HAND-GRIDDED onto the Student Answer Sheets:

• BCAP is an UN-TIMED test. Students may test up to one summer camp school day if they are working productively.

• Students are allowed to underline or circle words orphrases in the passages or questions.

• Students may use the empty space in their test

booksas work space.

• Test Administrators will transcribe student answers onto the corresponding Student Answer Sheets.

• Exactness in transcribing answers is a MUST.

BCAP Student Answer Sheets

It may be necessary to invalidate a test if any of the

following situations occur:1. Student is cheating or has disruptive behavior. 2. Student becomes ill during the test.3. Incorrect time was allowed to complete the test.

If any of the above occur you should write INVALIDATE on the front cover of the student’s test book and answer sheet.

Invalidated test books and answer sheets must be returned with your Not-To-Be-Scored materials.

Maintain a record of: • Students present for the BCAP test.• Students absent for the BCAP test.• Students who were present but whose test books were

invalidated.

STUDENT ASSESSMENT & RESEARCH

• Use Proctors in rooms where more than 30 students

will be tested, there should be a proctor trained and

assigned to monitor the class as an extra set of eyes

in addition to the Test Administrator.

• Proctors should only serve as assistants to the Test

Administrator and should be made aware of all Test

Security procedures and policies.

Before Testing:•Prepare the room for testing (cover up visual aides if needed).

•Receive and prepare all necessary materials needed for testing.During Testing:•Distribute test materials.

•Read the script, VERBATIM, as it is written in the Admin. Manual.

•Make sure each student writes his or her own name in the space

provided on the front of the test book, as stated in the script.

•Actively, supervise and monitor the administration of the test

•Maintain test security at all times.

Test Administrator Responsibilities

STUDENT ASSESSMENT & RESEARCH

After Testing:

• Collect all Test Books from the students.• Notify your Testing Coordinator, immediately, if any materials

are lost/ missing.

Transcribe answers from the Students’ Test Books onto their corresponding Answer Sheets. The student answers must be transcribed with exactness.

Complete the BCAP Administration Record information.

Return transcribed answer sheets and Test Admin. Manual to the

Test Coordinator.

Test Administrator Responsibilities

Return Test Materials to the Test Coordinator in

this order:

1.BCAP Administration Record.

2. Test Administration Manual.

3. Test Books for Absent students (hold for make-up).

4. TO-BE-SCORED answer sheets.

5. ALL BCAP Test Booklets (used and unused).

Test Administrator Responsibilities

Before Testing:• Receive and inventory test materials.

• Train Test Administrators.

• Prepare Administration Records.

• Arrange for implementation of students with accommodations.

• Assign proctors, if needed.

During Testing:•Actively, supervise the test administration.•Maintain test security.•Supervise make-up administrations.

After Testing:• Verify that ALL BCAP test booklets and answer sheets

have been returned to you.

• Notify Student Assessment & Research, ASAP, if any materials are lost/missing. (754) 321-4205. Ask for Adrienne, Karl or Richard.

• Check that student answers have been transcribed correctly onto their corresponding Answer Sheets.
