Museum of Contemporary Art ARS AEVI

•  A group of intellectuals in Sarajevo launched an initiative for an international cultural project to be called Ars Aevi.

•  Ars Aevi has grown into a unique example of international cooperation between artistic and cultural institutions, cities and regional administrations and artists and intellectuals from all over the world.

• The objective of Ars Aevi is to create an International Multicultural Center and Museum of Contemporary World Art in Sarajevo, a city in which for centuries differences between East and West have met in mutual respect and love.

Museum Sarajevo 1878 – 1918

• This dependency houses the permanent exhibition of Sarajevo 1871 to 1918, displaying Sarajevo during the period of the Austro- Hungarian.this choronolgical and thematic exhibition begins with a presentation of the evets preceding the Berlin Congress when Austro-Hungray was given mendate to the administer Bosnia and Herzegovina and concludes with World War I and part of the first Bosinan regiment

• The themes of the exhibition are ; resistance of the occupation , the new administration, lifestyle , cultural, religious, educational societies printing and publıshıng, industry and architecture, the annexation and the Bosnian assembly, the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie, World War I .

Historical Museum

• Historical Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina was founded on 13. November 1945 by the law on founding of Museum of national Liberation in Sarajevo. The initiative to establish Museum was undertaken by decree of Presidency of People Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

• All museum material is organized in six museum’s collections: Collection of Archive documents, Collection of Photographs, Collection of three dimensional objects, and Collection of art works, Library, and Documentation center.

• The Museum is one of rare cultural institutions which managed to keep safe its collections from destruction in the recent war

Natıonal Museum

• The National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina was founded in 1888 and is the oldest of the modern cultural and scientific institutions of Western type in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The initial idea to establish a museum dates back to 1850.

• The Museum soon outgrew its original, inconvenient premises, and work began on a new building in 1908. It was decided that the new museum facilities would consist of a complex of buildings housing all the existing collections in separate sections.

• The construction was completed in 1913 and the Museum was open to the public on 4 October that year. The complex, which remained for many years the only purpose-built museum in the former Yugoslavia, still houses the National Museum to this day.

•  We can say that there are three departments inside of the museum which are Archaeology, Ethnology and Natural History. Since the outset, considerable attention has been paid to the educational and cultural function of the Museum.

Galerija 11/07/95

• The first Memorial gallery in Bosnia and Herzegovina - exhibition place aiming to preserve the memory on Srebrenica tragedy and 8372 persons who tragically lost their lives during the genocide.

• A photograph exhibition which is held by the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) in Sarajevo is one of those efforts to pass the pains of the massacre to next generations and have them not forget it.

• The permanent exhibition provides documentary scenes of what was left of Srebrenica in the wake of this genocide. With photographs and videos of the ''wall of death'', family portraits, scenes of survivors lives, the scattered and gathered remains of the victims, and offensive graffiti, the gallery portrays the impossible justice and the abolition of time split between Anne Frank and the women of Srebrenica.

• The exhibit is highlighted by original photographs from Tarik

Samarah.

As a group we deal on two different site possibilites where they are locating as shown on the picture.

STRUCTURE

WHY TO USE FLOATING STRUCTURES

Large floating structures have been used for storing fuel.

Constructed like flat tankers (box-shaped) parked side by side, they form an ideal oil storage facility, keeping the explosive, inflammable fluid from populated areas on land.

Kamigoto Floating Oil Storage Base, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.

MATERİALS

The materials used for the floating body may be steel, or concrete or steel-concrete composite and the relevant specifications should be followed.

Since watertightness of concrete is important to avoid or limit corrosion of the reinforcement, either watertight concrete or offshore concrete should be used.

High-performance concrete containing fly ash and silica fume is most suitable for floating structures.

The effects of creep and shrinkage are considered only when the pontoon are dry, and hence not considered once the pontoon are launched in the sea.

Steel used for floating structures shall satisfy the appropriate standard specifications

ABOUT MOORING SYSTEM

• There are a number of mooring systems such as the dolphin-guideframe system, mooring by cable and chain, tension leg method• The design procedure for a mooring system may take the following

steps: we first select the mooring method, the shock absorbing material, the quantity and layout of devices to meet the environmental conditions and the operating conditions and requirements. The layout of the mooring dolphins for example is such that the horizontal displacement of the floating.

WHY MOORING SYSTEM

• The mooring system must be well designed as it ensures that the very large floating structure is kept in position so that the facilities installed on the floating structure can be reliably operated and to prevent the structure from drifting away under critical sea conditions and storms• A freely drifting large floating structure may lead to not only damage

to the surrounding facilities but also the loss of human life if it collides with ships

Advantages of floating conrete structures

Durability and low maintaince

Excellent fatigue resistance

High resistance to compressive forces

Excellent behaviour in cold weather and at low temperatures

İnherent rigidity

Good thermal insulating properties

High fire resistance

Utilization of mainly local materials

Economy.
