LIFE IN
TORONTO
Toronto Overview Toronto is a fabulous destination for an exciting city getaway any time of the year. A bustling commerce
center and great place to explore and play, you'll never run out of things to do in this diverse urban
center. Not to mention, getting around is easy with Toronto's best-in-class subway, streetcar and bus
transit systems.
Canada's largest city has attractions, sporting events and museums galore. Visit the CN Tower to see a
stunning view of the city from 342 meters in the sky. Depending on the season, several of Toronto's
professional sports teams play within walking distance of each other. Catch Canada’s baseball team at
the Rogers Centre – home of the Toronto Blue Jays. While you're there take a peek out in left field and
give us a wave. The Jays share Rogers Centre with the CFL’s Argonauts as well as a wide range of
concerts. Walk down the street and you will find both the NBA's Raptors and the NHL’s Maple Leafs. You
can even take a stroll down the boardwalk, explore the pretty, tree-lined streets in The Beaches district
and walk the trails of the lush Don River Valley.
Toronto is also home to the Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario and many other large-scale
music and live theatre venues. Commonly referred to as Broadway North, downtown Toronto hosts
numerous world-class touring musical productions alongside locally produced shows.
The city of Toronto offers unique cultural experience and diverse, lively neighborhoods that beckon
visitors to explore. From the vibrant Queen West area where local designers and artists offer original
fashions, to the sophisticated Harbour-front region home to studios, theatres, galleries and shops,
Toronto is sure to have a neighborhood you'll love.
For world-class shopping, dining and entertainment, head downtown on Yonge Street (one of the
longest streets in world!).
Travelling with kids? Head north of the city to the famed Canadian theme park, Canada's Wonderland.
With rides, games, souvenir shops and plenty of live entertainment, it will keep the whole family smiling
long after you leave.
CN Tower
Get a view of the city from the sky at one of Toronto’s most well-known
attractions, the CN Tower. Make the trip up the tower in a glass elevator and have
a look out from the outdoor observation deck. Look down through the glass floor
or catch a film in the Himalamazon motion theatre. Visitors can also buy tickets to
the Sky Pod (33 stories above the main observation deck) to see as far as Niagara
Falls and Rochester, New York.
Niagara Falls
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal
Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lies on the border of the United States and Canada with the American
Falls entirely on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also on the
American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was
originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to
natural erosion and construction. Every year, millions of local and international visitors witness the
magnificence of this natural waterfall at the south of Ontario.
