Package Delivery and Pickup
We heard and read so many comments about
packages being stolen, we decided to have a
package drop off at the CNN office for the
holidays. Having the drop off at the CNN office
at 4415 NE 87th Ave in our neighborhood proved
to be successful. If you are interested in having
your packages delivered here, please give us a
call at 503-823-3156.
Seems like only yesterday it was 2019. Time really does fly when you are having fun. The SAN Board is working
hard at creating new goals and fun events for everyone. We are grateful when members of our community join
us at our general meetings. We work hard to make meetings interesting and informative about issues that are
relevant to Sumner and our surrounding neighborhoods.
Beyond attending meetings, if you are wondering how you can get involved, we would love for you to join us
and become a member of the SAN Board or become a volunteer. We welcome all homeowners, renters and
businesses because your involvement strengthens our success.
Our next General Meeting on Tuesday, Mar 16, 2020 we will be voting for the following Board positions: Vice
Chair, Treasurer and 2 Members At Large. If you are interested in serving on the board or becoming a volunteer
please contact us at 503-823-3156 or email Ronda Johnson at rondaj@cnncoalition.org

service and I thought it was good enough to pass on.
Informed Delivery® is a free and optional
notification feature that gives residential
consumers the ability to digitally preview their
letter-sized mail and manage their packages
scheduled to arrive soon. Check out this link if

We want to give a huge thank you to Rapid
Response for cleaning up the property on NE 92nd &
Webster. As many of you know this house has had
multiple issues over the past several years and it
was nice to see that the City of Portland was finally
addressing them. We also want to thank Jonathan
Lewis, Program Coordinator with the City of
Portland, for organizing this cleanup effort and
Portland Police. Thank you also to the neighbors
and their constant attention to this house that lead
to the removal of 45,000 pounds of trash.

Sumner residents
partnered with neighbors
in Madison South and
Rose City Park and Friends
of Trees to plant 119 new
street and yard trees
throughout the three
neighborhoods, including
15 right here in Sumner.
Many thanks to all the
volunteers who turned
out to help make our
neighborhood a greener
place to live.

Licensed professionals only!
How can we make Sumner greener? SAN and the Columbia Slough
Watershed Council are looking at options for possible uses for the piece
of land at NE 87th Ave between Emerson St and Killingsworth St. We’d
like it to be a more welcoming and useful area and thereby help deter
unwanted uses (i.e. camping). If you are interested in being part of a
committee to explore the possibilities, please contact Tim Batog at
pdxtime2@gmail.com or 971-570-2174.
Tim Batog, Parks & Open Spaces
THANK YOU!
Thank you to PBOT
and the City of
Portland for leveling
out streets in

potholes. Already it
looks so much
better.
