We want to give a huge thank you to Rapid

Response for cleaning up the property on NE 92nd &

Webster. As many of you know this house has had

multiple issues over the past several years and it

was nice to see that the City of Portland was finally

addressing them. We also want to thank Jonathan

Lewis, Program Coordinator with the City of

Portland, for organizing this cleanup effort and

Portland Police. Thank you also to the neighbors

and their constant attention to this house that lead

to the removal of 45,000 pounds of trash.

Sumner residents

partnered with neighbors

in Madison South and

Rose City Park and Friends

of Trees to plant 119 new

street and yard trees

throughout the three

neighborhoods, including

15 right here in Sumner.

Many thanks to all the

volunteers who turned

out to help make our

neighborhood a greener

place to live.

Tim Batog,

Licensed professionals only!

How can we make Sumner greener? SAN and the Columbia Slough

Watershed Council are looking at options for possible uses for the piece

of land at NE 87th Ave between Emerson St and Killingsworth St. We’d

like it to be a more welcoming and useful area and thereby help deter

unwanted uses (i.e. camping). If you are interested in being part of a

committee to explore the possibilities, please contact Tim Batog at

[email protected] or 971-570-2174.
