JOURNEY OF FAITH We are on a long and eventful journey. Today's readings for Trinity Sunday succinctly cover the depth and breadth of our human travels. The very beginnings of our journey are revealed in the reading from Proverbs. God's plan illed with divine wisdom was born before the earth was made. In today's Gospel, Jesus speaks of his own personal journey. He has come from the Father and will return to the Father. Only then will the Advocate--the Spirit of Truth--take us onward. This does not diminish the fact that the journey will be hard. The very setting of the Gospel is the night before Jesus died. As Saint Paul writes to the Romans, "[W]e even boast of our af lictions, knowing that af liction produces endurance, and endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope" (Romans 5:3-4). Ultimately, our human journey is modeled by the Holy Trinity--a family of love among Father, Son, and Spirit that we are all called to emulate.

The St. Bridget Parish Catholic Appeal campaign is off to a wonderful start. As of May 17, 2016 we have received $120,923 which represents 101% of our goal.
The early outpouring of support from many helps sustain the important ministries that make St. Bridget Parish a vibrant
place of worship. If you would like to make your pledge, please take a pledge form from the back of the church or pledge online at bostoncatholicappel.org. Thank you for your prayers for a successful Catholic Appeal.
Restore our Church Campaign— Phase II Update
As of May 13, 2016 we have received $109,769.00. This represents 15% of our parish families; thank you so much for your support! If you have not yet made a contribution, please feel free to do so now. If your next pledge payment is due, please send it to the rectory or drop in the collection basket on the weekend.

Help-a-Student Fund Saint Bridget School is deeply rooted in the Catholic Traditions. Our collaborative environment nurtures academic excellence, social responsibility & Christian values in a changing & challenging world. Saint Bridget School partners with families and our Church to develop the whole person within a community of faith. As its primary goal, the HAS Fund is to assist needy students with their yearly tuition at Saint Bridget School. We need to keep the HAS Fund alive and well to do this. CAN YOU HELP? Checks may be made payable to St. Bridget HAS FUND and sent to the Rectory… “since no student should be denied a Catholic education because of tuition”. If you are interested in ‘adopting a student’, please contact Maria Sebastian (Bus. Mgr.) at (508) 875–5959.
Your donation will be fully tax deductible.

Last Weekend’s Blood Drive Results ! Great blood drive! It was a beautiful day for a blood drive, too. We had 9 new DFCI/BWH donors join us. It’s
always nice to have new donors join our blood donor family. New donors help us collect more blood and take
the place of others who can no longer donate.
Results:
-27 Donors presented
-25 Donors processed
-9 First-time DFCI/BWH donors
-22 Units of blood collected—including 5 known O pos.,
3 known O neg. and a variety of other blood groups/types.
-At least 44 patients can benefit from this! Cumulative Drive Results (since last August):
82 Units of blood collected
At least 164 patients benefited (AWESOME!)
Please convey our sincere appreciation to Msgr. Strahan and all at St. Bridget Parish who support the drives and
to all who donated. The need for blood is on-going and it is the dedication of altruistic donors like St. Bridget
Parish donors who provide our patients the life-saving blood they need. We are grateful for this support.
On behalf of all our patients, and their loved ones, at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, thank you all so much.
