Startup the Robot

Updates: Firmware VERY IMPORTANT

Update the firmware (10.03.37 or higher) when prompted by Swivl App. Failing to do so could cause damage to the robot or your device!

Turn on robot and launch Swivl

1. Press and hold down power button.

2. Launch Swivl App

Within Swivl app, tap Ok to allow robot access

First Time Setup:

Install Zoom and Swivl on your device.

5. From the teacher computer, start the Zoom session.

6. From the teacher computer, go to Zoom Microphone settings.

Select “Swivl” as the microphone source.

7. From the teacher computer, stop the host video.

8. Go to the mobile device. Open the Swivl app and go to Capture screen.

9. Launch Zoom and join the meeting. Tap Cancel or Mute audio.

10. Spotlight Option: From the teacher computer, spotlight the mobile device

live stream. (Zoom and MS Teams.)

1. VERY IMPORTANT: Update firmware if prompted by Swivl

(Skipping could damage your robot/device if firmware is out of

date). App must be 10.03.37 or higher.

2. Connect USB-A cable to Swivl and computer.

3. Turn on Swivl robot, connect mobile device, start Swivl app.

4. Start a live streaming session from computer.

5. Stop host video on the live streaming application so you don't

distract students. (You can still screen share).

6. Unmute the host laptop.

7. In the live stream settings, select Swivl as the microphone.

Select your chosen speakers as the output.

8. Join the meeting from mobile device.

9. On mobile device, cancel audio or mute session.

10. You have achieved Integrated Audio Setup. The computer and

mobile device are working together to collect and broadcast audio.

11. Option - You can mute your classroom speakers and continue to

hear remote student voices through a headset connected to your

marker.

Connection Tips Launch the Swivl app and adjust these two settings: 1. Advanced > Base Port > Automatic or Speakers 2. Advanced > Audio Configuration > Distance Audio 3. Make sure your device volume is max.
