INhabItaNts, vIsItoRs, aNd seRvaNts of the households had a close, physIcal RelatIoNshIp wIth these objects wIth whIch they shaRed the space, aNd wIth whIch they weRe IN daIly INteRactIoN, plausIbly IN a much moRe dIRect, peRsoNal aNd emotIve way thaN the RelatIoNshIp they had wIth the offIcIal aNd publIc cult Items.
