Tactical Problems

• Placement• Consistency• Positioning

• 4 R’s: Read, React, Respond, Recover (Hopper, 2003)

Questioning as Teaching

• What do you? (TACTICAL AWARENESS)

• How do you? (SKILL & MOVEMENT)

• When is the best time to? (TIME)

• Where is / can? (SPACE)

• Which choice? (RISK/SAFETY)

The Keep Up Game (see Hopper, 2003)

• Play 1 x 1 in one badminton service box• Ball has to stay in the air• Ball has to be tossed above head height per

possession• If ball lands on floor in quadrant or out of

quadrant = point is over and awarded to respective player
