Temperate Rainforest Food Web

You are to create a food web with animals from the temperate rainforest.

Procedure

1. Cut out each of the organism pictures2. Organize the organism pictures in a logical manner (use the provided data table to assist you)3. Glue each organism onto the large piece of paper4. Draw arrows that show the flow of energy – the arrow goes to the eating animal5. For each organism, label the following:

1. Name of the organism2. Whether the organism is a primary produce, primary consumer, secondary consumer, or tertiary consumer3. Whether the organism is a producer, omnivore, carnivore, herbivore or decomposer

Example:Banana slugs eat moss. The banana slug receives energy from the moss, so the arrow points toward the banana slug. The arrow represents the flow of energy.
