Revised format of scheme of marks allocation: The earlier mark allocation was as follows:
Section A 15x1, Section B 4x5 and Section C 10x5, which was changed to 10x1, 5x5 and 10x5
in order to give 50% weightage to section B in comparison to section C. Reduction in the number
of objectives in Section A from 15 to 10 was done because it was observed that setting 15
objectives was very time consuming.
Upgradation in Examination Module of the Software: Software was updated in order to meet
the requirement of the annual pattern of the examination according to the M.P. Higher Education.
Quality of the mark sheets have been upgraded (Non-crushable and non- tamperable)
Moderation of the question paper is done on the day of examination to ensure greater

7.3 Give two Best Practices of the institution (please see the format in the NAAC Self-
study Manuals)
Best Practice - 1
1) Title: E-Governance: A Means for Effective Administration
2) Objectives of the Practice: The aim is to bring in transparency,
accountability and timely resolution of process with optimal use of available
resources, fund monitoring/management and future planning in the overall
administration of the college.
3) Context: In the quest of improving the education system, the college has
given prominence to automating tasks like admission, assignment, attendance,
grades, HRM, reports etc..Efficient ways to connect, collaborate and
communicate through multiple channels such as ERP based software (eCAS),
centralized file sharing system, website and EduSAC through high bandwidth
AQAR 2017-18 (as per NAAC Revised Guidelines 2017). St. Aloysius College, Jabalpur. (M. P.) 482001 Page 43
data servers via intra and inter web based and mobile devices have increased
efficiency and reduced the need of paper prints.
4) Practice: E-Governance is practiced through Enhanced Campus Automation
System (eCAS), Centralized IQAC server, Website, Institutional domain E-
mails, WhatsApp group and EduSAC mobile app. Data is protected by
licensed Anti-virus software MacAfee, Net Protector and Quick Heal.
4.1 eCAS: The updations in the eCAS are:
Student Module:
Students’ Online Admission system has been redesigned to facilitate the
need of incorporating Yearly Pattern admission.
Payment Gateway (PayU Money) has been integrated to facilitate student
with the option to pay fees online.
Library Module
Library reports have been optimized for faster retrieval of records and
daily reports.
Examination Module
Aadhaar number has been incorporated in Tabulation and Marksheets.
Developed interface for declaration of Yearly Pattern examination
results.

AQAR 2017-18 (as per NAAC Revised Guidelines 2017). St. Aloysius College, Jabalpur. (M. P.) 482001 Page 44
4.3 FTP server:
Installation of FTP server set up in the IQAC cell has provided an efficient
way of file sharing between the departments and the IQAC cell. This helps
in timely uploading of half yearly and annual reports and documents.
5) Evidence of Success:
E-Governance solution has changed the way administration was being done. The
solution incorporates whole data and processes of the college into a unified
system, making the process uncomplicated, well-organized and error proof. The
solution is designed to make the system user-friendly, time saving and cost
saving and has also helped in improving transparency, providing speedy
information, dissemination and improving administrative efficiency.Because of
effective E-Governance, relevant information flows transparently and easily
between the administration and the stakeholders of the institution.
6) Problems Encountered and Resources Required: Autonomous academic
institutions are prone to change in the examination and academic schemes. The
frequent updations in the system becomes challenging. The change in system
demands various types of report generation which is time consuming.

Annexure ii
Feedback from stakeholders
The departments collect feedback on curriculum and courses from stakeholders such
as the Students, Alumni, and Peer group, Faculty, Industry and Employers through
feedback forms, suggestion box and other formal and informal methods.
The feedbacks given by the alumni and industrialists have been incorporated in the
curriculum in form of Industrial/Educational tours and field visits for practical
exposure of students. The various MOUs with industry and market are the outcome of
this feedback system thereby providing better employability and growth opportunities.
The Board of studies of various departments and Academic Council also contribute in
curriculum enrichment thereby ensuring academic excellence. Periodic analysis is
made by Academic Council of the following: curricular aspects, student performance,
faculty performance in every semester, utilization of infrastructure and requirements
for quality enrichment. Their suggestions are taken into consideration as many
modifications in the curriculum and new courses have been introduced (see Annexure
III). Updations in curriculum are based on parameters like Skill development,
Entrepreneurship and Employability.
The feedback from employers, and constituents of industry have emphasised on
additional skills imparted through add-on courses. The students have also stated in
their feedback a need for the introduction of new value added courses. Based on such
responses, various courses such as Income tax return e-filling & filing in Commerce
and Tally with GST and Diploma in computer operator and other job oriented courses
have been initiated. As an outcome of feedback internship training in vermi-composting
was also started.
There has been a specific feedback from the students regarding organization of on-site
training and live interaction with experts on varied fields with institutions of national
and international repute. The College has taken several steps in this regard e.g.
Interaction Programme and Global Understanding Programme conducted with East
Carolina University, USA.
