Loyalist College offers international students the ideal combination of academic excellence, extracurricular activities and experiences.
Our diverse community includes international students from an ever-growing number of countries around the world. Located on more than 200 acres in the beautiful Bay of Quinte region and perfectly positioned between Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, Loyalist is a destination for students seeking an inclusive and accessible College. Our number one priority is supporting your success personally and professionally.
About Loyalist College
Loyalist College prides itself on the personal and friendly attention that our students receive. Due to the smaller size of the College, faculty and staff members get to know each and every student, monitor their success and provide supports as needed. Belleville is a friendly, small community that is easy to navigate, either by car or public transit. The cost of living is considerably less than that of a bigger city. Our semi-rural campus provides a true Canadian cultural experience and is a great place to adapt to a new culture and strengthen English skills.
Why Study Outside of the Greater Toronto Area?
Our International Centre is here to help you settle into your new home at Loyalist College – socially, academically and culturally. We offer assistance with housing and health insurance, and host a variety of fun cultural activities and trips throughout the year.
To learn more about the International Centre, please phone 613-969-1913, ext. 2670 or 1-888-569-2547. You can also email international@loyalistcollege.com.

“My experience at Loyalist College has been life-changing. The people I’ve met here are so friendly and welcoming – they make you feel like you belong. One of the reasons I chose to study at Loyalist was because of the lower student-to-faculty ratio. The professors get to know you personally and take a genuine interest in your success. They encourage you to achieve more and guide you through the process.”
Securing accommodation is the responsibility of Loyalist College students. The College’s Residences are peacefully nestled in a wooded country setting on campus, close to many student life activities. With enough space for 476 students, Loyalist has five suite-style Residence buildings. The College also has 104 spots in four fully furnished townhouse buildings. Apartment-style off-campus housing can range from $400 – $800 CAD per month, plus personal expenses. Please budget and plan accordingly. International Centre staff can work with you to find suitable accommodations.

“ I chose Loyalist College based on location, competitive costs and the academic reputation of the Paralegal program. The small class sizes created an outstanding learning environment and my teachers genuinely wanted me to succeed. During my placement, I realized that much of what I was learning in class is directly applicable to real-life situations. I am enjoying the lifestyle in Canada and feel a part of Belleville’s community.”
