The Human Side of Relationship Building

April 28, 2010

A lot of people have gone farther than they thought

they would . . .

because someone else thought they could.

Which will it be . . . a stumbling block or a steppingstone

Yes, isn’t it strange

that princes and kings,

and clowns that caper

in sawdust rings,

and common people

like you and me

are builders for eternity?

Each of us given a bag of tools,

a shapeless mass,

and a book of rules;

and each must make,

ere life is flown,

a stumbling-block

or a steppingstone.

Mr. Johnson

“I wish I could be a brother

like that.”

COLLABORATION IS KEY!

“Your bottom line is

your front line.

It all comes from people”

Casey Stengel, manager of the New York Yankees, commented after winning the 1958 World Series,

“I couldn’t have done it without my

players.”

It takes each of us

to make a difference

for all of us

Each night we go to sleep in the present,

We wake up in the future.

OPPORTUNITYISNOWHERE

We must adjust to changing times,

but cling to unchanging principles

Miss Julia ColemanPlains High School, Georgia

There is no place like hope

“Hope is not merely helpful; it is

indispensable.”Daniel Coyle

“Lance Armstrong’s War

2005

Hope is the thing with feathers.

Emily Dickinson

“Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.”

Helen Keller

“Hope is a walking dream”

Aristotle

“Never talk about defeat. Use words like hope,

belief, faith and victory.”

Norman Vincent Peale“Positive Thinking Everyday”

“The grand essentials to happiness in this life are

something to do, someone to love, and something to

hope for.”Joseph Addison

“Light From Many Lamps”

Wahluke

“A long walk, slowly, uphill”

Mattawa

“Where is it?”

Everyone is someone!

We could learn a lot from crayons:

Some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are

different colors,

But they all have to learn to live in the same box.

I believe in things unseen . . .

I believe in the message of a dream.

Your Legacy – What Will It Be?

Lincoln was once asked how long it took him to write The Gettysburg Address. He replied:

“All my life.”

Which will it be . . . a stumbling block or a steppingstone

Yes, isn’t it strange

that princes and kings,

and clowns that caper

in sawdust rings,

and common people

like you and me

are builders for eternity?

Each of us given a bag of tools,

a shapeless mass,

and a book of rules;

and each must make,

ere life is flown,

a stumbling-block

or a steppingstone.

“Higher”

Gradually, ESD #113 staff began to abuse the Wednesday morning casual-dress policy.

“Ha ha ha, Biff. Guess what? After we go to the drugstore and the post office, I’m going to the vet’s to get tutored.”

THE COLLEGE PROFESSOR SAID, “SUCH RAWNESS IN A STUDENT IS A SHAME.

LACK OF PREPARATION IN THE HIGH SCHOOL IS TO BLAME,

SAID THE HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER,“GOOD HEAVENS, THAT BOY’S A FOOL.THE FAULT, OF COURSE, IS WITH THE

GRAMMAR SCHOOL.”

THE GRAMMAR SCHOOL TEACHER SAID, “FROM SUCH STUPIDITY MAY I BE SPARED.

THEY SENT HIM UP TO ME SO UNPREPARED.”

RESPONSIBILITY ?

THE PRIMARY TEACHER HUFFED,“KINDERGARTEN BLOCKHEADS ALL.THEY CALL THAT PREPARATION –

WHY, IT’S WORSE THAN NONE AT ALL!!”

THE KINDERGARTEN TEACHER SAID,“SUCH LACK OF TRAINING NEVER DID I SEE.

WHAT KIND OF A WOMAN MUST THAT MOTHER BE?”

THE MOTHER SAID, “POOR HELPLESSCHILD; HE’S NOT TO BLAME.

HIS FATHER’S PEOPLE WERE ALL THE SAME.

SAID THE FATHER AT THE END OF THE LINE, “I DOUBT THE RASCAL’S EVEN MINE.”
