Sale of Ḥametz If possible, all ḥametz—food not acceptable during Pesaḥ
(Passover), or materials containing such unacceptable food—should
be destroyed or given away before the holiday begins. Should this
be impossible, the ḥametz may be stored in such a way that we are
sure not to use it during the holiday and its actual ownership
transferred to a non-Jew until after the holiday ends. Please visit
our website Beth-David.org and follow the link from the home page
to download the form. The form must be returned to CBD office no
later than Noon, April 11, 2014
What is a Ḥavurah? The word “Ḥavurah” comes from the Hebrew word “ḥaver”
meaning “friend.” A ḥavurah is a smaller community within our
larger Beth David community. Members come together to enrich
each other’s lives, celebrate Shabbat, share lifecycle events and
more. Currently Ziva Fishman is creating a ḥavurah for persons
ages 65 – 80. Ziva may be reached at zivadesign@gmail.com. If
you would like to be in a Havurah, but for a different age range or
interest, please contact Ziva!
After Hours Dropbox Not able to make it to the Synagogue during office hours? We now
have a secure drop box for you to drop off donations and dues
payments. The box is located in the door across the hall from the
office between the bulletin board and water fountain.
