About Welcome to Nursing You - a tool to help you change your habits and maintain a healthy weight, designed by nurses, for nurses.
We know that there are lots of really good apps, websites, books and classes available to people to help lose weight and stay healthy. We also know that for a lot of nurses - because of the hours we work, the particular stresses of the job - making those little changes to support our progress to losing weight can be really difficult. And because we’re nurses, our own health – and keeping ourselves healthy – is often the last thing we think about.
‘Nursing You’ can help you think through some of the reasons that lie behind reaching for the chocolate bar, and provide healthier alternatives that you can then pledge to try for a few days. You can also use it to record some of your thoughts and feelings around trying something different, and give yourself a pat on the back if it worked and you stuck to it!
Nursing You is part of The Healthy Weight Initiative for Nurses (WIN). WIN. is a partnership between C3Collaborating for Health, London South Bank University (LSBU) and Royal College of Nursing, and is funded by Burdett Trust for Nursing, the Royal College of Nursing and the Royal College of Nursing Foundation.
