BAPTISM CANDLE: The Baptism Candle is lit today to remember the baptism of Valkyrie Elliott on July 14, 2013. We light the baptism candle on the Sunday near the anniversary of a child’s baptism to remind us of the promise we made to guide & nurture these children to know and follow Jesus Christ.
TODAY’S FLOWERS: Today’s flowers were provided by Karri Wicka to the glory of God in loving memory of her mom and uncle.
WORSHIP IN THE PARK & CHURCH PICNIC: Join us on Sun., July 21 at 10:30 am as we worship at Bradley Lake Park with Scott and Sarah Vollmer. Immediately following the worship service we will have our annual all-church picnic. Please bring a side dish to share and invite a friend. The more the merrier!
SAVE THE DATE: After worship on Sunday, August 4th we will be gathering in the fellowship hall to create our behavioral covenant, the next step on our vitality pathway. The covenant is how we will relate to others in a way that honors God and edifies and strengthens the church. Everyone’s voice needs to be heard. A light lunch will be served.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?: Session has discussed the idea of hiring an Associate Pastor and it is important for us to hear what you think. We plan to take a few minutes on Sunday, July 28 to listen to your ideas, concerns, and opinions.
NEXT WEEK’S SCRIPTURES: Amos 8:1-12; Psalm 52; Colossians 1:15-28; Luke 10:38-42.
