Beggining the journey

We were asked to walk to London Necropolis Railway Station at West-minster Bridge Road and gather any form of inspira-tion on route or at the des-tination to then ultimately wright our own brief.

Recording directions

I also took some photos of line foms and directional graphics on the ground during our journey.

Despite all the direction signs and people we met, ironically we could’nt find our destination.

design tool box design development

We were assigned to develop an idea that would encourage people to take care of their teeth and meet the dentist regulary.

I decided that the best way to educate the people of all age groups without scaring them would be to create a poster.

At first my poster idea consisted of using the uncle sam image, however despite it being recogniz-able, direct and simple it didnt convey a positive message.

I then decided to use the well known celebrity Simon Cowell to add some hu-mour and comfort with the message.

I designed 6 options for the poster design-all of which have an X- factor theme to appeal to a wide audience in a light-hearted way.

design tool box research

design tool box research

We were asked to visually research a subject which related to any health is-sues.

I visited St Teresa’s home, an old people’s home.

Interview

St Teresa’s home was my chosen destination for my research project.

In my 1 hour interview with Michael I wanted to understand more about his past and ultimately how and why he now has a disabilty.

Visualization of re-search

My parter and I created some visual research from our interview with Michael.

We wanted to focus on his transformation from the free travelling man he was, to the confinedman he is now.

design tool box ideas generation

This project asked us to design something for the government in a fantasy world to control society with an emphasis on ideas generation and techniques.

‘‘100 ideas’’

At this stage we were asked to narrow down our 100 ideas to just one, and then present the idea.

This consisted of 2 phases.First we did a rough sketch to present our idea, then we used digital media to improve it.

Presentation method

My group and I wanted to present our 2 ideas to the group.

We were aksed to present our ideas in an interesting and captivating way.

Therefore we performed a role-play and used tennis balls with the key words of our proposals.

Here is the facebook profile that is our design toolbox.

It contains blogs, forums, vid-eos, pictures, quotes and many more inspirational sources of creativity as well as the design process in the discussion boards.w

Features

Here is a selection of features on the facebook profile which wil serve as a creative hub and to teach the world for those who need to understand the design process
