•Kodak may be going down the tubes but Americans are taking more pictures than ever! •According to Nat’l Geographic: 80 billion photos in 2011, 105 billion by 2015

•JD Power says 2.5 billion camera phones in use in 2009•Holy. Crap.

So why do so many websites look like this?

USE PICTURES•So much content out there, you have no excuse•You can use Creative Commons•You can take great pictures yourself•You can get your audience to help •And you can develop a conversation around those images, leading to more engaged users.

Instagram!•It’s an app. •It’s social•It has cool tools•It’s famous. Facebook bought it•Growing like mad. 900K to 7.3 M daily users in 6 months, according to Comscore.
