Advertising Photography

When advertising for films, people will most likely take pictures of the main and most popular characters as the face of the film. It’s a way to show you what the characters look like and give you an idea of what they do so people will want to watch it. Advertising photography will most likely feature on posters, magazines, billboards etc.

Fashion PhotographyFashion photography consists of pictures of models in clothing to show off and advertise new clothing to either sell the clothing or just to show off unique one-of-a-kind pieces. An example of a photographer would be Laura Dark who photographs alternative models.

Music PhotographyMusic photography is pictures of bands/artists either for magazine shoots, posters, merchandise, CD covers, etc.

MacrophotographyMacrophotography is photography producing photographs of small items but up close and making them look bigger than they are.

CloudscapeCloudscape is photography of the clouds or sky. Well known photographers of cloudscape are Ralph Steiner, Robert Davies and Tzeli Hadjidimitriou.

Aerial PhotographyAerial photography is pictures taken from a birds eye view/directly over the ground of landscapes.
