Calendar Training

Content: by the end of this training you will be able to:

- To access calendar;- To create a new block- To enter both a user and a site/course event;- To set dates, recurrence and durations- To select view filters- To export calendar into Outlook- To delete and update calendar in Outlook

Turn “editing on”...

1 Can you see your calendar

block?If not….

If not, you must create it.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

You should see this block.

Click on “Add” to

access the drop down menu and

select “Calendar”

To access the calendar, Click on the month2

Once this done, You can move up the calendar block on the page by

clicking

on

Click on “New

Event”

The month calendar window opens.

User event is for yourself only

Site event is for All1

Click OK2

This event window opens 3

Give a name to your event1

Add a small description2

Add dates and duration3

Is this a recurring event? 4

Click on Save5

This is how your event

will appear.

You can edit or

delete it if you are not

Click on the eye to Hide

You can simplify your view of events through the Events

Key filter

You can also export your calendar onto Outlook

Choose what you want to export

Your “Moodle calendar”

opens next to your work

You can delete it by right clicking on the title with your mouse.

Repeat the process to upload or update your calendar
