Differential Venting• Entry vent is at the end of the system

• Exit vent is on the roof of the building

• A minimum difference of 10’ is needed

• If a pumping station is used, install an air bypass pipe

Required Dispersal Area = Peak Flow / Infiltrative Loading Rate

Required System Sand = 12” (30cm) below AES Pipes

6” (15cm) on either side of AES Pipes

4” (10cm) above AES Pipes

Minimum Lateral Length = 20 Feet (2 Pipes)Maximum Lateral Length = 60 Feet (6 Pipes)

Treatment Capacity is the same regardless of whether it is front end

fed or Centre Fed; however, it is possible to Linear Load based on

the HLLR in Appendix A.1.E.1.
