What?● Each year we participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition.● The students on our team learn invaluable skills by participating in various

subteams.● It’s a real world engineering high school competition where students are

given and objective to build a functioning robot that must meet specific requirements while being able to accomplish multiple tasks. We are totally responsible to develop and manage a budget, design and build a robot, while gaining invaluable analytical and leadership skills related to engineering, software development, and business.

Subteams include…● Build● Programming● Marketing● Wiring/ Electronics● Pneumatics● Outreach● Fundraising● Game Strategy

We go on field trips, hold demos at community events and attend fun social events with other FRC teams.A few field trip destinations have included:● Compunetix● Aethon● NREC

● Build season this year will begin on January 9th (Kickoff 2016) and end on February 23rd (Bag N’ Tag Night).

Where?● We work out of a local workshop space. ● We practice at other local locations too.● We travel to a practice field run by another FRC team

(Team 3504 The Girls Of Steel).● We attend the Greater Pittsburgh Regional, held at

CalU.

year.

Build Season● Begins on January 9th (Kickoff) and ends on February 23rd (Bag N’ Tag)● Build season is approximately 6 weeks (45 Days)● During this time we design, prototype, build, program, and test our robot● Sub Teams work together to create the final product● During the build season we will typically have workshop time from 7pm to 9pm

every night of the week and we’ll work from 9am to 4pm or 5pm on the weekends

Bag N’ Tag Night● February 23rd 2016● On Bag N’ Tag Night we add the finishing
