Welcome to Mathematics SL class,
I am honored to be your Math SL teacher this academic year 2016-2017. I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself, my name is Ms. Amira Zohair, I have been in the teaching career since 1995. I joined GPIS in 2012.
Learning in our class will be through your textbooks, hands-on activities, and projects.

Chapter 11 Trigonometry
Chapter 13 Circular Functions
How to be well organized during our course:
a. Attend all the lessons and if you do miss any make sure you catch up with the work immediately. Check our blog to know what you missed.
b. Ensure you are on time for lessons and prepared to take an active role in class. If you don’t understand something ... ASK FOR HELP do not wait till the next lesson and get things accumulated.
c. You are expected to read up about the topics taught before the next lesson.
d. Keep all loose pages in a binder. It is your responsibility to keep the notes and material tidy and in good order and to submit them to me for checking if requested.
e. Keep up to date with your written assignments. Don’t let the work pile up and ensure you meet deadlines. If for a good reason you cannot meet a deadline, let me know in advance via email.
f. Make sure you read your textbooks at the end of every session.

Assignments:
Your assignments must be neat and organized.
Assignments are graded based on rubrics discussed in class.
Late assignments
1. Excused: You are expected to give your assignment the day you return to school and not
the next lesson.
2. Unexcused late assignments are given a grade of zero.
Tardiness to class:
You must present an excuse note from the teacher/administrator you accompanied otherwise you
will lose marks from class participation.
Distracting class and wasting time:
You shall lose marks from class participation and if it is repeated you will be sent to the
administration and may get a detention.
