Father is doing exercise to maintain his health. Grandma is drinking milk at night before she goes to sleep.Raju’s younger sister is skipping.Grandpa is having his daily morning walk. Mother finds time to do yoga soon after she gets up from bed.Raju loves to do jogging.Pre listening
Tr. To elicit the activities in the morning of each member of the family and completes a table of information on the blackboard
While Listening : Tr. hands out the activity sheet and orient students as to the responses expected from them ie. Listen and number the pictures in the order that they are read out.
Teacher reads out a passage (transcript given above)related to the picture of Raju’s family . Students listen and number

SPEAKING
Tr. asks each student to speak about the pictures by giving number clues at random and again in sequential order.
Teacher uses a clock face and shows various times in the morning and asks about the activity of the members of the family. Students are guided to apply their prior knowledge and relate the activity to the time logically.
For example : If the time is very early in the morning, who and what could the activity be?
The activity maybe personalized by asking children about the activity of each member of the family in their own homes.

Speaking
Teacher uses a clock and asks the following questions.
