THE FACTS – Nigeria
93million (The economist) people without access
to grid electricity from a population of 173.6
(World bank)
Electricity generation capacity
fluctuates between 1500MW-4500MW
In *Kuje Area Council alone we are
surrounded by 260 off-grid villages. *Kuje is one of the Six Area Councils in Abuja
500 metric tonnes of organic waste
generated daily within the immediate
project site.
Bio-2-Watts Mini-grid
• kick-started in 2015 with two off grid communities in Kuje Area
Council of Abuja, Nigeria - Riji community.
• Completion timeline of 23rd September 2016
• 124m3 Bio-Digester
• Generation Capacity of 20KW
SOLUTIONConversion of biodegradable and
agricultural waste to biogas via an
anaerobic process.
HOW DOES IT WORK?Waste is feed to a bio gas digester which generates gas and in turns powers a biogas generator and electricity generated is been distributed by a Minigrid system
