•Taught Biology at Jeff Davis High School in Montgomery, AL

•Taught 7th grade Life Science and 8th grade Physical Science in Enterprise, AL

•Mother of 1 daughter, Jaiden.

What is Life Science?•7th grade Life Science is the study of ALL living things

•8th grade Physical Science is ALL about the study of matter and energy

•Walk in quietly

•Sit in your assigned street

•Complete the Bell Ringer on the Board•This should be done before I finish taking the roll.

•1st Tardy – Verbal Warning

•2nd Tardy – Student Conference

•3rd Tardy – Parent Contact

•4th Tardy – TOR

•5th Tardy – TOR

•6th Tardy – Office Referral

•In the green basket on the table near Ms. Dennis’ desk.•See the sign, “ Turn in papers here.”

•Be sure to put your first and last name on ALL assignments!•See heading poster

Classroom Policy & ProceduresWhat To Do After You Complete Your Assignment:

•Read quietly to yourself

•Complete unfinished assignment for science or other classes

•Study over science notes or vocabulary.•Vocabulary Test/Chapter Test every other week!

Classroom Policy & Procedures**NOTE: If you are caught doing other assignments for another teacher without permission, the work will be taken up and that teacher will take away 5 points from the assignment!

Any late work or work not turned in on the day it is assigned, student must fill out a “Missing Homework Log”

•Make Up Work:

•All make up work must be turned in within 5 days of your return.•Check the “What Did I Miss” binder for handouts or instructions.

•No make up work is to be completed during my class!•See me during Advisement – 2ndperiod •Afterschool make up day Wed from 3:30 – 4:30 pm.

•There is absolutely NO EATING OR DRINKING in this classroom!•I don’t like ants or roaches!

•Cellphone Policy:

•Phones should be on Silent/Vibrate/OFF when you enter this classroom.

•Phones should never be out in the open, unless with my permission.

•Cell phone consequences:•1st time: Verbal Warning•2nd time: Hold phone until the end of the day•3rd time: Phone is turned in to office, Parents must pick up!

• Read notes 15-30 minutes each day!The more you see it, the more you will understand.

• Study vocabulary words daily!If you look up vocab words on index cards = Bonus Pts. on test.

How Do We Dismiss:

•You do not pack up before the bell rings•I will tell you when you can start packing up for the day.

•I dismiss you, not the bell.•We repeat the Class Motto: “My attitude determines my altitude. I will succeed!”
