to check grades on PowerSchool on
a daily/weekly basis to view the most
current grades for EVERY class.
Expectations for Distance Learning
1. Students are required to complete 4 hours of schoolwork a day to complete ALL
classes
2. Be on time and participate in live classroom lessons daily
3. Check emails and use emails appropriately as per lesson
4. Complete all work and turn it in on time every day.
5. Maintain a clean and orderly work area
6. Follow Digital Citizenship
Synchronous vs Asynchronous
• Each class is a combination of Synchronous and Asynchronous.
• Synchronous learning is online or distance education that happens in real time, whereas asynchronous learning occurs through online channels without real-time interaction. Periods will start with Synchronous and end with Asynchronous. Synchronous will start at the time slated but may only be around 30 minutes. As per ed code, students are required to have 240 minutes a day of a combination of Synchronous and Asynchronous learning.
