Things to Know:*****Forecasting is completed at home.

1. You will want to read through the curriculum guide (link below) to decide what classes you want before you forecast: (Guide is also on the LOJ home page)

1. If you are in a different level of a required class (like math) you will be forecast

for the general grade level course and your counselor will update that request

once we receive recommendations from your current teacher.

Log into StudentVUE-click “I am a student”

Enter your LOSD Username and Password

Open the Course Request Screen

Selected Course Requests Section

This contains the primary list of all classes offered.

Required classes are already listed for you!

Selecting Electives

Search for courses

Type part of a course title: for example, Art

Electives

Highlight the request button for the courses you most wish to take

The Alternate Elective Requests are your alternate selections if one of your

requested classes is not available

Once you have made one or more selections, press the “Click here to move

selected requests to Selected Course Requests” button

Add your Alternate Elective requests in order of your preference

7th and 8th grade Elective choices:

Option 1 = 6 trimester electives and list 4 alternatives (in

order of preferred choice)

Option 2 = 1 Year long elective

(Band/Choir/Orchestra/World Language) and 3 trimester

electives and 4 alternatives

Option 3 = 2 Year long electives

(Band/Choir/Orchestra/World Language)
